Wreckhouse Jazz & Blues (WJB) is a not-for-profit organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors which produces the Wreckhouse International Jazz and Blues Festival (WIJBF) as well as other performance, educational and fundraising events to support its mission statement: 

"To build a greater awareness for jazz, blues and world music and their traditions through a year-round program of educational and performance events."


The Wreckhouse International Jazz and Blues Festival, entering its 8th year, is one of Atlantic Canada’s premier jazz and blues festivals and a member of Jazz Festivals Canada.  It has earned a wonderful reputation for fostering, producing, and promoting world-class music in one the liveliest towns in North America.

Your generous support of WJB helps us continue to develop an appreciation of jazz, blues and other improvised music in our community.  You will directly help WJB continue to produce an exciting festival with local and internationally acclaimed artists, and ensure the success of community development projects throughout the year.

How your donations help:

  • You belong to the jazz and blues community and contribute to the success of the Festival and other WJB activities
  • You provide exposure opportunities for our NL artists
  • You contribute towards presenting national/international artists
  • You aid in the development of cultural tourist activity thereby leading to economic impact within the province
  • You provide the resources for in-school educational development programs
  • You demonstrate community engagement which assists in leveraging additional revenues from funding agencies and increasing corporate partnerships
